RBI Grade B Exam 2021

Reserve Bank of India conducts the RBI Grade B Exam for the recruitment of Officers in Grade ‘B’ (General) – DR, DEPR (Department of Economic & Policy Research) and DSIM (Department of Statistics and Information Management) in Common Seniority Group (CSG).

RBI Grade B exam is one of the most prestigious examinations in the country. Candidates should have a brief idea about the syllabus to strategize their study plan better to crack the exam.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2021:

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2021 is decided by the exam authority of the Reserve Bank of India. The RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three phases:

  • RBI Grade B conducts in an online mode that a computer-based test.
  • Except the English language section, the papers will be set bilingually in English and Hindi.

RBI Grade B Exam Pattern 2021 (General) for Phase-I

RBI Grade B Paper 1 Exam Pattern is different from RBI Grade B Paper 2 Exam Pattern. Phase 1 of the RBI Grade B Examination 2021 comprises a total of 4 parts. Applicants have to clear the Phase 1 examination to move ahead in the selection process and attend the Phase 2 Examination. For each wrong attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted from the candidate’s score.

  • All the questions of Phase-II (except for English language) will be set for both Hindi and English
  • Phase-II exam will also be held in multiple shifts.
  • The exam time table will be highlighted in the RBI Grade B admit card
  • The aspirants have to choose only one subject out of three, based on their preference and eligibility.
  • Candidates who choose Hindi as the exam medium may type with the help of either-
  • (i) in script or
  • (ii) Remington (GAIL) keyboards layout for Paper I and Paper-II.

RBI Grade B 2021- Interview

The Interview will be of 50 marks. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). The minimum aggregate cut off marks for being shortlisted for Interview will be decided by the Board in relation to the number of vacancies. Roll No. of the candidates shortlisted for interview will be published on RBI website at appropriate time and interview call letters will be sent on registered email ID. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.
