National Law Admission Test (NLAT 2021) is conducted by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore for admissions to BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. This year, the law school will be a part of the CLAT Consortium, but it will not accept the CLAT scores.
The exam was held in a home-based online mode so that candidates can take the exam from the COVID-safe environment of their respective location. NLAT 2021 syllabus would comprise of five subjects- English Language, Current Affairs Including General Knowledge, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, and Quantitative Techniques.

NLAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
- All candidates must have secured an unconditional pass and the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent examination) as specified below:
- The aggregate percentage of 45% or its equivalent grade in the case of General Category and PWD students.
- The aggregate percentage of 40% or its equivalent grade in the case of SC/ST.
Age limit
- There is no upper age limit to apply.
NLAT Marking Scheme:
- 2 marks will be awarded to each correct answer
- -0.25 marks will be deducted for each unanswered question
- -0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer

CLAT 2021 Counselling
After declaration of CLAT Result & cut off, the authority will release counselling process. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of ranks, category and no. of available seats. To participate in the process, candidates will have to submit the counselling fee of Rs. 50, 000 for participation.
It will be mandatory for all category candidates to participate in the counselling process. The admission will be given to candidates after the fee payment & verification of the documents.
NLAT Result 2021
The provisional answer key for NLAT 2021 will be released on 12 September 2021. In case of any objection, the candidates can send after the release. Once the provisional answer key is released, the candidates can check it to determine the performance and raise issues if needed.
After the completion of the NLAT 2021 exam, the university will prepare the NLAT Merit list based on their marks secured. The university will also share the merit rank, aggregate marks, and marks of the last admitted candidate in their category. This year, there will only be one merit list.
