The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is conducted by Xavier School of Management (XLRI, Jamshedpur). It is an annual competitive aptitude test and a gateway for aspirants to get admission into XLRI – Xavier School of Management, 10 other XAMI members and 160 other top B-schools of the country offer admission to their management courses considering the candidates’ XAT scores.
XAT 2022 will be conducted in online mode at various test centres in 72 cities across India. XAT 2022 Syllabus will be divided into 4 sections viz. Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, and General Knowledge.

XAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- Every Indian citizen complying with the other eligibility requirements may apply for XAT 2022.
- NRI and foreign candidates may apply on the basis of their GMAT Scores.

Age Limit
There is no age limit to be eligible for XAT 2022.
Educational Qualification
The Educational Qualification required for XAT is that the applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of the 3-year program or more from a recognised institute. The bachelor’s degree in any discipline is acceptable.
Note:
XAT eligibility for final year students is very clear in the prospectus and states that final year study is eligible to apply for XAT 2022. However, graduates of the 1980s with a 2-year bachelor’s degree are not eligible for the exam.

XAT 2022 Selection Criteria
Candidates can apply for more than one program with an additional fee for each. If that candidate clears the cut off and XAT 2022 Selection Criteria then he or she will be called for the selection process.
The selection process generally consists of:
- GD (Group Discussion)
- Writing
- PI (Personal Interview) rounds.
Based on the performance of the student in these above rounds, aspirant will be admitted for a program. Call letters will be sent by mail to each of the qualified candidates and one has to report to the location to attend the counselling process.
XAT 2022 Exam Pattern
Some of the highlights of the revised XAT exam pattern are given below:
- Mode: XAT 2022 will be conducted online.
- Duration: 180 minutes
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer fetches 1 mark and 0.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Negative marking is inapplicable in the General Knowledge section. 0.10 marks will be deducted for more than eight un-attempted questions.

XAT 2022 syllabus
The XAT exam syllabus is divided into 4 sections, namely Decision Making, Verbal and Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge.
The total time duration for Part 1 of XAT 2022 will be 165 minutes. Only after the entire time duration of Part 1 is over a candidate can move to Part 2. There will be no sectional time.

XAT Personal Interview 2022
The personal interview is all about questions concerned with the candidate’s academic career till now, family background, interests, achievements and motivation/ inspiration for choosing MBA.
The interviewers are inclined to understand the mental strength as well as the verbal skills of the candidate by judging their content, level of confidence, the capability to work under pressure as well as communication skills
XAT 2022 Result
The result will be prepared on the basis of the exam and a merit list will be put on the official website. Registered candidates after the result declaration can download the scorecard from XAT official website by logging with their credentials.
XAT admit card includes the following:

XAT 2022 Counselling
Candidates have to go through a counselling procedure to gain admission to the B-schools. After the XAT 2022 results and merit lists are out, candidates can submit the marks carefully to the desired colleges. The colleges will reach out to qualified candidates for the counselling procedure.
The counselling procedure will be held in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, and Jamshedpur in the month of February 2022 and March 2022 tentatively as of now.
