CEPT 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The necessary info regarding the eligibility criteria is listed below for the reference of the applicants:
- Educational qualifications:
HSC exams or any equivalent exam from a notable board or Gujarati board or CBSE board ought to be completed by the candidates.
- Subjects:
Mathematics and physics ought to be a compulsory subject within the HSC exams. - Qualifying marks:
More than five hundredth marks ought to be secured by the applier those who belong to the general class.
Reserved class candidates should score over forty fifth mark within the HSC exams.
CEPT 2021 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of the CEPT entrance exam 2021 is as given below:
Bachelor of Interior Design
Here are the details of CEPT Exam Pattern for Bachelor of Interior Design course: –
- Test will be conducted in two sessions.
- Session 1 will contain 2 tests on topics like Visual Thinking, Perception, Colour Knowledge, Basic Interior and Design Understanding.
- Session 1 will be of total 4 hours, with each test of 2 hours, carrying 100 marks each.
- Session 2 will have a test on Organizational Principles, Observation Skills, Common Sense, and Problem Solving.
- This test will be of 3 hours.
- Both the sessions have a combined weightage of 70% in final selection.
Bachelor of Urban Design
- This test will have a total of 100 questions.
- Candidates will be given two hours to complete the test.
- The test includes 4 sections, namely Visual Representation and Perception, Logical Reasoning and Basic Principles of Science, Communicative English and Verbal Reasoning, and Social and Cultural Awareness.
- The weightage of Visual Representation and Perception Section is 50% in the test, Logical Reasoning and Basic Science has weightage of 20%, the rest of the two sections have weightage of 15% each.
Bachelor of Construction Technology
- This test will have 100 questions.
- Candidates will be a given a total duration of 2 hours to complete the test.
- This test will have 4 sections, namely Analytical Reasoning, English, Construction Awareness and Drawing Skills.
- Each section is expected to have a weightage of 25%.
Master of Urban Management
- Entrance test for this course will include a written ability test.
- Candidates will be given a topic and they will have to write an essay of around 300 to 500 words on the topic.
- They will be given maximum 30 minutes for this test.
Master of Landscape Architecture & Master of Landscape Design
- Entrance test for these courses contains and written test and a drawing test.
- In each of the test, candidates will have to show their creativity and knowledge on given topic, through writing and drawing in respective tests.
- Candidates will be given around 30 minutes for each test.
- Each test carries a weightage of 15% in candidate’s final selection.
Master of Technology (For All Specializations Available)
- Test for this course will have 100 questions.
- Each question will of Multiple-Choice Type.
- Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the test.
- This test will have 3 sections, mathematical ability, analytical reasoning and verbal ability.
- 40 questions will be from Mathematical Ability, and rest two sections will have 30 questions each
CEPT 2021 Syllabus
The CEPT 2021 Entrance Exam Syllabus consists of subjects like Visual Perception and Logical Reasoning, Making and Creativity, Drawing and Perception, and Colour Perception and Association.
Candidates are advised to do the topics related to subjects given in following table, according to their respective course:

General Awareness | Candidates are advised to cover topics like Indian Culture and History, Indian Polity, Geography, National and International Current Affairs, Famous Personalities, Environment etc. Covering these topics will also cover the syllabus of subject of Social and Cultural Awareness. |
Mathematical Ability | Candidates are advised to cover topics like Equations, Geometry, Algebra, Differential Calculus, Co-Ordinate Geometry, Trigonometry and Modern Mathematics. |
Verbal/English Ability | Candidates are advised to study Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Antonym Synonyms, Idioms and Phrases, Grammar, Sentence Correction, Basic Voice and tenses and Error Spotting. |
Construction Awareness | Candidates need to cover basics of construction, type of building and type of materials, legal things regarding construction, famous companies and current affairs regarding construction. |
Visual Perception | Candidates here need to have the ability to note patterns between figures, distinguishing figures and designs on the basis of size and properties etc. This is basically some form of visual reasoning but more inclined towards designs. |
Color Understanding | Candidates need to cover the types of colors, usage of colors; expression and meaning of colors and must also know properties of colors. |
Analytical Ability | For this subject, candidates need to do basic reasoning topics like Number Series, Alphabet Series, Direction Sense, Blood Relations, Input Output, Visual Reasoning and Data Interpretation. |
Creative writing, Drawing and Creation | There is no syllabus for these subjects. Candidates just need practice for Drawing and Creation on various possible subjects and must know about the usage of various materials. Candidates must have the knowledge of various current issues and topics for written ability test. |
