It is State-level examination for candidates aspiring to get admission into B.Tech, B.Pharm, MBA, M.Tech, MCA programs of Himachal Pradesh Technical University. The exam is held in the month of May 2021 (tentatively) in offline mode (pen and paper-based).

HPCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for undergraduates and postgraduates are given below. So, candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the applying courses.

For Under Graduates
- Tech:Aspirants must have qualified B.Tech/ B.E. in the field of Technology and Engineering with at least 50% marks.
- Pharma:Candidates must have a minimum of 17 years of age and have qualified in the 12th exam or its equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects and at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in aggregate of these subjects are eligible.
- Pharma (Ayurveda):Candidates must have qualified in the 12th exam and must have scored a minimum of 25% marks in Chemistry and Biology Subjects.
For Post Graduates
- Tech:Candidates must score at least 50 % of aggregate marks in BE/ B.Tech in the respective field.
- MBA:Aspirants must score a minimum of 50 % marks in bachelor’s degree can apply.
- MCA:Participants should have a bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university obtaining not less than 50% marks can apply.
- Pharma:Competitors with a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy with at least 50 % marks can apply
HPCET 2021 Exam Pattern
HPCET 2021 exam will be conducted offline by filling the provided OMR sheet to answer the objective questions. Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect or opting more than one answer.
Candidates must have knowledge about the exam pattern of the entrance exam well in advance, which helps in attempting and solving the question paper easily.
