The exam is held in pen-paper based test mode and the question paper carries objective as well as subjective type questions.

ILI CAT Exam Pattern 2021
The university will prescribe the ILI CAT 2021 exam pattern that the applicant has to follow when preparing for the exam. Consulting the ILI CAT exam pattern, one will be able to understand the basic framework of the exam, like types of questions asked, marking scheme, total questions, etc.

There will 140 objective type questions and 4 subjective-type questions. The syllabus for each section of ILI CAT question paper is as under:

The first part of the exam comprises of questions from English and General Knowledge on topics as under:
- Grammar
- Reading Comprehension
- Inference-based questions
- Vocabulary
- GK related topics such as current events, science and technology, geography, historical events etc.
ILICAT Syllabus for Legal Aptitude
The objective type questions in this section will be based on:
- Jurisprudence
- Constitutional Law
- IPC
- Public International Law
- Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act)

The section will be based on legal writing on topics of law such as –

ILICAT Counselling 2021
ILICAT counselling 2021 will be conducted in offline mode at the Delhi campus of Indian Law Institute. Students who have cleared the earlier rounds of GD and viva- voce will be invited for the counselling process. Counselling will be conducted in 3 rounds on the basis of the merit list. Students must keep on checking the official website for updates and so separate letter will be sent for the counselling.

ILI CAT Merit List 2021
Admission to the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi will be done based on the ILI CAT 2021 merit list, which will be prepared considering the performance of the candidate in the viva-voce round and marks obtained in the ILI CAT 2021 entrance exam. ILI CAT merit list 2021 will be published online at the university website and will include details like the merit rank of the provisionally qualified candidate, name and roll number. The merit list of ILI CAT 2021 will be prepared as per the following weightage.
