MICA Admission Test (MICAT) is conducted by MICA, Ahmedabad. It is the online entrance test for MICA’s flagship course Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications (PGDM-C).
MICAT is a national level test and is conducted twice every year. MICAT-I and MICAT-II are online tests, conducted across the country. Candidates must clear MICAT 2021 to occupy their seats at MICA university.
MICA uses CAT/XAT/GMAT in the selection process for its PGDM/PGDM-C. The question paper comprises of both subjective and objective type questions.

MICAT 2021 Exam Pattern
MICAT-I and MICAT-II are both Computer-based Tests (CBT). The best of the two scores from MICAT-I and MICAT-II will be taken into consideration to shortlist the candidates for GE and PI.

Marking Scheme
- There is no negative marking for Psychometric Test (PT) and Descriptive Test (DT)
- There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each incorrect response on questions from Verbal Ability (VA), General Awareness (GA), Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QADI) and Divergent & Convergent Thinking (DCT)
MICAT 2021 Syllabus
MICAT Syllabus 2022: Psychometric Test (PT)
This is the 1st section of the MICAT 2022 examination and consists of 150 questions
- This section had a time limit of 30 minutes to answer all 150 questions
- The answers to the questions asked are ordinal in nature (Strongly Agree, Agree, Neutral, Disagree, Strongly Disagree)
- This section basically tests the personality and mental state of the candidate, his/ her behaviour, thinking ability, problem-solving capability, situational, judgemental etc.
- There is no specific syllabus for this section and the questions asked from the candidates are very common in nature and those resembling the day-to-day life of any person
MICAT Syllabus 2022: Descriptive Test (DT)
The MICAT Syllabus for the descriptive test (DT) consists of 4 topics on which candidates have to write a descriptive answer in less than 300 words
- The purpose of this section is to again check the mental capability and behavioural thinking of the candidate
- Here, the candidates get a chance to showcase their creativity, knowledge and spontaneity as they have only 25 minutes to answer all the questions from this section.

MICAT 2021 Result
- MICAT 2021 Result will be declared three times, twice after the MICAT written tests and the final result after the GD & PI rounds.
- The MICAT-I Result will be released on the 2nd Week of December 2020 and the MICAT-II result will be out on the 2nd Week of February 2021.
- MICA Result 2021 can be viewed through online mode. On the basis of the written result, candidates will be called for further admission rounds.
