OTET (Odisha teacher eligibility test) conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) to test the candidate’s basic knowledge. It is a common selection examination for the recruitment of candidates for the vacant posts of teaching (primary and secondary standard) up to class 8th in the state of Odisha.
Odisha teacher eligibility test is just an eligibility criterion for recruitment process, it does not guarantee any job in the state of Odisha. Only scores secured by the aspirants will decide the future of selection in the government, government-aided and private institutions to serve education to the students.

The examination pattern of OTET can be divided into two papers:

OTET 2021 Paper 1 Exam Pattern:
- OTET Paper 1 exam consist of Objective type questions.
- There will be four options out of which candidates have to select one correct option as an answer.
- Total duration of OTET 2021 Paper 1 is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- Questions of OTET Paper 1 holds equal weightage
