Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS), is a state-level civil services examination conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
The objective of this entrance test is to recruit aspirants for state and subordinate services of Rajasthan. It offers several posts such as Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS), Rajasthan Taxation Service (RTS), Deputy Collectors DSP, etc. The RPSC RAS joining happens only after a thorough and rigorous training for 2 years at HCM Rajasthan State Institute of Public Administration, which is an apex level institute run by Rajasthan Government.
RPSC RAS exam usually occurs in August – September. It is conducted offline for a duration of 3 hours.

The RAS selection process will be based on three phases which are mentioned below.
- Phase I: RAS Preliminary Exam
- Phase II: RAS Main Exam
- Phase III: RAS Personal Interview
RAS Preliminary stage is conducted for the selection process. The prelims marks are not considered for the final list of candidates. Recruitment and allotment of positions happen on the basis of candidates’ performance in mains and interview.

- Marks for each question: 5
- Paper 1: 16 questions; Paper 2: 14 questions; Paper 3: 16 questions
Long Answer Questions:

The final stage in the RAS entrance examination is an interview which many also term as a personal viva. The total marks for this stage are 100.
