Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP 2021) is conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU). It is a common entrance exam for candidates who are seeking admission into the MBA programme provided by its 16 component Institutes.
SNAP exam is a speed-based test. For MBA admission, the better of the two SNAP scores were accepted. Last year, the SNAP exam was conducted on three days and candidates were allowed two attempts.

SNAP 2021 Selection Process
Once the SNAP result is announced, the SIU affiliated institutes begin their admission process.
The admission process includes Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interaction (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).
- Group Exercise (GE)- This round aims to assess the ability of the candidates’ application of logic and reasoning. Also highlight the candidate’s ability of decision-making and management skills. This exercise carries a weightage of 10 marks.
- Written Ability Test (WAT)- With a weightage of 10 marks, candidates are asked to write an essay on a business management-related topic or any other course-related topic.
- Personal Interaction (PI)- This is a face-to-face round to evaluate candidate’s confidence and his/her overall personality. This round carries 30 marks and is the most important round of the entire admission process.
The participating institutes fix minimum cut off to shortlist candidates for GE/PI and WAT. Shortlisted candidates are called to participate in GE/PI and WAT. The final selection is based on each candidate’s academic record and performance in SNAP and GE/PI and WAT.

SNAP Exam Pattern 2021
SNAP 2021 has three sections which are as under:
- General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability
- Analytical & Logical Reasoning
- Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency
The SNAP Exam 2021 is an online-based exam of 60 minutes. The questions will be objective type and each incorrect answer has a negative marking of 25% marks.

Note:
- Please note that the SNAP Test 2020 will be a computer-based test.
- SNAP Test duration is of 60 minutes.
- SNAP Test is an objective test. Each question has four responses Candidate should choose an appropriate response.
- Each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.
- Candidate can appear for a maximum of two tests for SNAP 2020.
- If a candidate appears for two tests, the higher score will be considered for final percentile calculation.

SNAP 2021 Syllabus
For the SNAP exam, various topics have been assigned under each section. SNAP 2021 syllabus is given below as highlighted topics:
Section 1:
General English (Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability)
This section is completely based on the English Language, and the important parts covered in this section are Reading Comprehension Passages, Verbal Reasoning, and Verbal Ability.
Reading Comprehension (RC) – Passages
This section shall contain 10-12 questions based on the topics listed below:
- 2 Reading Comprehension Passage accompanied by 10 questions related to them.
- RC topics are based on Facts, Opinion, Literature, Current Affairs among others.
- RC passages do not contain many difficult questions. Questions will be basic with mediocre difficulty.
- These questions will be based on comprehension provided.
Verbal Ability (VA):
This section will have 20-22 questions based on the topics mentioned below:
- Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms, and Antonyms.
- Idioms & Phrases, Vocabulary usage.
- Para-jumbles.
- Errors-finding in sentences.
- Core Grammar usage – Conditionals, Active & Passive voices, Indirect Narration, etc.
Verbal Reasoning: This section will have 2-4 questions based on the topics given below:
- Critical Reasoning
- Analogy
- Identifying Parts of Speech
Section-2:
Mathematical Ability (Quantitative Ability (QA), Data Interpretation (DI) and Data Sufficiency)
This section syllabus has questions based on Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. Data Interpretation questions will be limited because sometimes, they prove to be lengthier than questions based on Quantitative Aptitude and consume a major chunk of time allotted.
Quantitative Ability (QA):
This section will contain 20-24 Questions based on the following topics.
