UPESMET Selection Process
Candidates are selected for admission through two pathways. Candidates selected in both categories will have to face Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds for final admission.

Non-Examination Pathway
Admission is offered based on national-level management entrance exams: CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT/NMAT/GMAT followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Up to 50 per cent of the seats are filled through the non-examination pathway category students. The minimum percentile required for entry to the non-exam pathway has been listed below:

UPESMET Interview and Group Discussion (GD)
Exam conducting body invites eligible candidates for further group discussion and personal interview rounds according to their performance in the UPESMET exam. Also, their scores obtained in the entrance exam and performance in interviews and group discussions will be taken into consideration.

UPESMET 2021 Counselling
Only those candidates who have cleared the cut-offs for the UPESMET exam will be eligible for the Counselling Procedure.
- GD/PI:
The counselling procedure will have a group discussion and a personal interview.
- Group discussion:
Once a candidate is successful in clearing the UPESMET, there is a group discussion session at UPES Dehradun that is mandatory to be attended.
- Personal Interview:
Depending on the merit list, the counselling session will begin for every candidate who has applied for the UPESMET. Also, a personal interview will mandatorily be conducted after the group discussion round.
