WB SET Syllabus 2021 Pdf | West Bengal SET Exam Pattern

West Bengal State Eligibility Test (WB SET) is conducted for the candidates who want to become Assistant Professors in the West Bengal. WB SET Syllabus 2021 is prescribed by the West Bengal College Service Commission as per the different subjects.

WB SET 2021 is an offline examination. Candidates are tested on their basic reasoning and teaching aptitude skills. To prepare for the examination, candidates need to begin their preparation with WB SET syllabus. This is beneficial to understand the nature of the exam and get an in-depth analysis of how question paper is designed.

WB SET 2021- EXAM PATTERN

Before getting into the details of WB SET Syllabus, let’s have an overview of WB SET Exam Pattern to understand the structure of the WB SET question paper in detail:

WB SET consists of two papers:

  • Paper 1
  • Paper 2

Both the papers consist of only objective type questions (MCQs)

Paper Marks Number of Questions Duration
I 100 50 questions, all are Compulsory 1 Hour

(09.30 A.M to 10.30 A.M)

II 200 100 questions, all are compulsory 2 Hours

(11:00 A.M. to 01:00 P.M.)

Paper-I consists of 50 objective type compulsory questions, each question carrying 2 marks. These questions are designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper-II consists of 100 objective type compulsory questions, each questions carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

The candidate will have to mark the responses for questions of Paper – I & Paper – II on the OMR Sheet provided along with the test booklet.

Paper I common for all candidates and syllabus remains same, while the syllabus for paper II varies across the disciplines.
